The Kindle Charger Is A Handy Little Device

By Gregory Harrison

If you are reading this article and have yet to purchase a Kindle or Kindle Fire, it is best that you buy a kindle charger with your purchase to save yourself $10. If you don't think you'll need one, you will. Then you will have to pay $20 bucks for it instead of $10.

This charger should only be used with the e-reading devices and not with the Kindle Fire devices. You can use this charger anywhere in the USA and overseas (100-240V). Be sure to pack an adapter with you when you travel outside of the USA or you may not be able to use your e-reader.

If you do not want to buy a separate charger, your kindle comes with a USB cable to use with your laptop or PC to charge it.

The Kindle charger is not limited to charging your e-reading device. It can charge other mobile devices such as your MP3 player and Smartphone. The USB cable that is supplied with your Smartphone can also charge your new e-reader.

I know for sure you can use the USB cable from a Blackberry to charge your Kindle.

I decided to get this charger for myself because I do a lot of traveling. When it arrived, it was wrapped nicely in packaging that was easy to open. I love the sleek design of the charger with the Amazon logo on it.

If you decide to purchase a Kindle and then upgrade later, you don't need to spring for another charger. Not only is this charger small and compact and easy to pack away; but it fits into one slot in a surge protector.

I also have a Kindle Fire HD 7" and the charger. While I am on the subject, I will share my experience using this charger. As soon as I got it in the mail, I knew this charger was also made of high quality and would last for years to come.

This charger is virtually universal. It can charge the Kindle e-readers as well as the Kindle Fire models.

I also use this charger to power-up my iPad, Blackberry Smartphone, and Bluetooth headset. It charges the devices in an hour with using a 9W, 1.8amp. It's great for traveling and storage since it is so compact and small. When not in use, you can fold the prongs up.

The only thing I dislike about this charger is that I had to purchase it separately but it was still worth the buy.

Just like the Kindle charger, you will need an adapter plug to use it out of the United States. Don't waste your money buying another one if you already have one.

Make sure that your adapter is compatible with whatever country you are traveling to because some adapters are country specific.

If you have to pay $20 for the charger, it is still worth the money. It charges more than just your e-reader and Kindle Fire. Plus, it charges your devices really quickly within an hour.
